Kristhia “Kris” Haygood
Kristhia “Kris” was born and raised in Campeche, Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula on the Gulf of Mexico where it is summer weather all year long.
At the age of seventeen, after graduating from high school, Kris moved to Monterrey, Mexico to study at the University of Montemorelos. She graduated with honors and a bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology. It was during her college years that she began studying English and became fluent in English.
After graduating from college, Kris worked as an English teacher for a bilingual school in Monterrey, Mexico, and then in Campeche. She ultimately had the opportunity to start the English program at a private school in Campeche where she hired, trained, and led a staff of seven English teachers.
Kris then worked for a US-based company in Campeche as a bilingual executive assistant to the General Manager for a year where she met her husband. Her husband, an industrial engineer and Georgia Tech graduate, was in Mexico setting up a facility for his US-based company. Kris and her husband married in Mexico where they raised their two children for several years before moving to Georgia.
Kris is now a certified medical translator. She earned her medical interpreter certification from the University of Georgia and uses her knowledge of languages and medicine to assist our clients.
