Why Choose Us

Our Clients Become Our Friends

Our perfect five-star rating on Google reflects a combination of skill, hard work, and genuine concern that you won’t find elsewhere. We really do treat our clients like family, and our clients stay our friends long after the case resolves.  We celebrate birthdays with our clients—not just our clients’ birthdays but ours too!

You Will Be Treated With Respect

At other law firms, you may start to feel like you’re just another case number.  You may get bounced around between a bunch of staff and never deal directly with the lawyer you thought you were getting.  Not with us.  At our law firm, you will deal directly with the same lawyer who you spoke with on day one all the way until your case is resolved.

Your Questions Will Be Answered

We know a legal case is stressful.  You have questions; we promise to give you answers.  We do more than just answer your questions—we answer questions you didn’t even know to ask.  We take pride in giving every one of our clients the respect and personalized attention they deserve.  Communication is extremely important at our firm, and we therefore regularly text and call our clients with updates.

Fewer Cases = Better Results

Some firms focus on taking on lots of cases and then settling them as quickly as possible to ensure maximum profit for as little work as possible. That’s not us.  Our law firm takes a handful of cases.  What that means is you get our full attention.  Our decisions about settlement vs. trial are based solely on your best interest and not on making a quick buck for our firm.

Other Lawyers Call Us To Work On Their Cases

We’re frequently asked for legal advice by other law firms in Georgia and around the country.  Other lawyers regularly refer cases to us because they trust that our firm will maximize the client’s recovery.  Other lawyers read about our firm’s jury verdicts and settlements in the news.  These same lawyers annually vote for us as Super Lawyers (an honor that is awarded to only 2.5% of lawyers), Legal Elite, and National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.  Even the judges in Georgia have awarded us with the Judicial Edition of Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating.  Our national reputation recently placed us in US News & World Report’s “Best Law Firm” category.

We Understand The Medicine

Serious injuries require skilled attorneys who understand medicine. Not all personal injury lawyers possess the same medical knowledge. Our years of experience handling serious personal injury cases has helped us build a deep base of medical knowledge.  For example, a traumatic brain injury is measured on the Glasgow Coma Scale from 3 to 15.  A third-degree burn requires different types of skin grafts. A spinal cord injury may require a complex invasive operation like a cervical fusion, or it may just need a transforaminal injection.  We know the right questions to ask your doctors, and we understand the medical terms.  We read medical records every day, and we meet with specialists every week. We stay up to date on the newest medical literature, and we bring in professional medical consultants on many of our cases.  Combining our knowledge of law and medicine with the medical professionals we  hire, ensures maximum results for our clients.

If We Don’t Win, You Don’t Pay

If we don’t win your case, you don’t pay us.  We handle each case on a contingency basis, which means we get paid only if we win.  What that should tell you is if we agree to take your case, it means we expect to win. There is no surprise billing or added fees—it’s a fixed percentage set upfront and so you know our interests are mutually aligned with yours from beginning to end.

We Donate A Portion of Our Profit To Charitable Causes

Every year we donate a percentage of our profit to charitable causes both domestically and abroad.  (Our profit means you are not affected in any way: the money we give to charity comes from our pockets, not yours.) Some examples of our recent donations include:

  • The Against Malaria Foundation—providing mosquito netting to protect vulnerable families from malaria
  • Evidence Action—providing deworming medication tablets to children suffering from parasites
  • GiveDirectly—helping low-income families afford the most basic of necessities
  • SightSavers—providing medical treatment to afflicted adults and children suffering from debilitating eye diseases
  • The End Fund—delivering tropical disease treatments to sick children
  • Atlanta Community Food Bank—providing meals for families
  • The Salvation Army—assisting communities in need
  • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta—paying for personal protective medical equipment
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of America—funding for programs that help children
