We had the pleasure of trying a case in Fulton County State Court before Judge Patsy Porter on October 31 and November 1, 2022. The facts of this case involved a car striking car collision where the at-fault driver lost control of his Toyota Corolla and struck the driver’s side door of our client’s Maserati Ghibli. The driver side airbags deployed causing serious injury to our client’s left shoulder.
We struck–that means we “picked” but technically the lawyers do not pick a jury, they “strike” a jury”–on Monday and finished presenting the evidence Tuesday. The jury returned a verdict on Tuesday awarding our client every dollar we claimed she was owed plus tens of thousands of dollars more for her pain and suffering.
That’s our third trial in 2022, and it felt great to be back in the courtroom fighting for justice with a deserving client post-covid restrictions. Judge Porter and her staff were wonderful.
